In March and April 2009, an outbreak of a new strain of influenza referred to as "swine flu" had originated in Mexico, and other parts of the world. The new strain was identified as a combination of different viral strains of the genera Influenzavirus A, subtype H1N1, it being possible for strains of this subtype circulating in humans and pigs. The World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) of the United States have expressed serious concerns that the new strain, which is transmitted among humans had a high mortality rate among cases of Mexico and confirm, has the potential to become a pandemic influenza. It is reported that because the virus is already widespread, the containment will be impossible .
